| Stonehedge Golf Course Up To Par for 2009 |

NORTH CLARENDON, VT (April 11, 2009) – While most area golf courses closed their doors last November to enjoy a nice, quiet off-season, Stonehedge Golf Course was already gearing up for a bigger and better 2009 golf season! When owners Richard, Chriss and Shawn Bendig purchased the course in 2007, they did so with the intention of bringing the game of golf to anyone in the Rutland area: new golfers, experienced golfers, young golfers and older golfers alike. Some two years later, that commitment is about the only thing that Stonehedge golfers will recognize.
With efforts to improve course conditions completed in 2008, Stonehedge has shifted their attention to expanding the course amenities and services that it offers. Here is a list of the new course features that golfers will experience when they “tee it up” in 2009:
- A new maintenance facility was constructed to allow for the expansion of the Stonehedge clubhouse. Golfers will be treated to a larger clubhouse that offers a snack bar food service in 2009 as well as a small array of golf merchandise and Stonehedge apparel.
- A hitting cage is being installed so golfers can practice their swing before heading out on the course.
- Expanded programs and services including league play, family golf events and beginner lessons will be offered for all levels of golfers in 2009.
If that doesn’t have you running to get your golf clubs, perhaps this well... All of these 2009 changes are being offer to local golfers at 2008 prices - greens fees, memberships and girt certificates priced at the same affordable rates as last year! Interested in checking it out yourself? Not a problem… Stonehedge opened its doors for the 2009 golf season on Saturday April 11th.
Stonehedge Golf Course is conveniently located at 216 Squire Road in North Clarendon, VT 05759 (directly behind Automobile International at the junction of Routes 7 and 103). The course will continue to operate seven (7) days a week from 8AM until dusk.
